Morning Meeting
We will start our morning with a community meeting to help children and guides ground themselves into the space and set intentions for the day. This will also be a time for community announcements.
Morning Offerings
Our mornings are centered around open exploration, with mini-offerings and lessons thoughtfully woven in based on children’s interests and developmental readiness. These mini-lessons are designed to spark curiosity and wonder, serving as a jumping-off point for deeper learning. From there, children may choose to engage in follow-up projects and activities, continue exploring in their own way, or shift their focus to something entirely new.

We’ve found that when children are trusted to follow their interests, they engage more deeply, build independence, and grow into curious, self-motivated learners. When support is needed, our guides step in with thoughtful invitations at just the right moment. It’s a dynamic balance—one that honors both structure and freedom.

Lunch and Outdoor Free Play
Everyone is free to snack when they wish, but we have community mealtime blocked out on the schedule from 11:45 AM – 12:15 PM as a dedicated time to eat together.
After lunch, children can enjoy some outdoor time on the playground equipment, read under a tree or partake in sports and games.
Guided Hike
Each day, we'll venture into the forest as a whole group. While exploring the trails and creek offers a creative space for self-directed play, we'll also have a daily nature activity for those who are interested.
Afternoon Offerings
After lunch and time outdoors, we transition into our afternoon block. During this time, children can return to earlier projects, join a guide- and/or child-led offering, or head outside for further exploration. This might look like building in the loose parts shed, engaging in imaginative play, or participating in a team game, sport, or challenge. This flexible block allows children to dive deeper, recharge, or explore something new based on their energy and interests.
Reflection
We will wrap up our day by reflecting on our experiences – how we did with our intentions, what felt memorable, what was hard, how we can shift our actions and practices the next day.
Friday Offerings
We’ll plan field trips and workshops each Friday for those who are able to join. These may include activities like museum visits, working with clay, plant medicine, or robot-building workshops. Parents are expected to accompany their children on field trips, while some workshops may be offered as optional drop-off experiences. Please note that these Friday offerings will be an additional cost, based on the activity.
